The Institute for Tourism is the only scientific public institute in Croatia specializing in research and consultancy services in tourism. Its expertise is based on scientific work, permanent research activities and the continuous education of its multidisciplinary team. The institute’s activities are governed by an integrated approach to tourism development and management, which takes into account the development aspects of a company or a tourist destination, as well as the national tourism policies. The Institute for Tourism works together with tourism industry players with whom it shares a common goal – to achieve a higher level of competitiveness for Croatian tourism.
CESIE is a European Centre for Studies and Initiatives based in Palermo, Sicily. It is a non-profit, apolitical, and non-governmental organisation. It was established in 2001, inspired by the work and theories of the pacifist Danilo Dolci (1924-1997). CESIE links local, national and international contexts and is committed to stimulating development and change in educational, cultural and economic spheres through the creation and use of innovative tools and methods.
Οlympic Training & Consulting Ltd. was founded in 1995 in Greece in order to provide vocational training, lifelong learning and similar services. The company operates nation-wide and currently employs 26 persons. Promoting investment into human resources towards faster vocational and entrepreneurial development, as well as combating social exclusion, is among the main aims of Olympic Training. Towards this target, the development and/ or dissemination of innovative educational methods, along with applied research in the field of adult education and the active promotion of new technologies in professional and everyday life, are systematically employed.
The Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts is a national intermediary organisation of tradesmen and craftsmen which promotes the interests and work of its members (80,000 SMEs) at all territorial levels. Chamber of Trades and Crafts is involved in crafts licensing for apprenticeship training provision and organisation of master craftsman exam. Chamber is also responsible for daily coordination with and advising of SMEs, holding extensive expertise in project management, organisation of training and educational activities, incl. collaboration with all VET stakeholders.
The Peloponnese Tourism Organization was founded in 2013 and is the coalition of seven regional hotel associations of Peloponnese. It is the first interregional tourism scheme, which was formed at the initiative of the local unions and associations of hoteliers of the seven prefectures of the Peloponnese and was established to promote in a more systematic way the tourism product of the Peloponnese and to support synergies between actors in the private and public tourism sector.
